Introduction

PIDtoExcel (“we”, “us”) provides a service that converts P&IDs into structured outputs.

Information we collect

• Uploads & outputs: the files you upload (e.g., P&IDs), job specs, pricing snapshots, logs, and generated overlays/CSVs.
• Contact details: the email address you provide to receive results. No account is required.
• Payments: processed by PayPal. We do not receive or store card/bank details. We keep payment IDs, status and amounts.
• Usage/technical data: IP address, device/browser and page timing via Cloudflare (as proxy) and Cloudflare Web Analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.

How we use data (legal bases)

• Provide the service and deliver files by email (contract).
• Process payments via PayPal (contract).
• Security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting and analytics (legitimate interests).
• Comply with law (legal obligation).

Sharing & processors

We use trusted processors to operate the service: Hetzner (hosting/storage), Cloudflare (DNS/proxy; Web Analytics), PayPal (payments), and a transactional email provider ZeptoMail to send results/receipts. We may disclose data to comply with law or protect rights/safety. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Data may be processed in the EU (Hetzner) and other regions used by Cloudflare/PayPal/ZeptoMail. Appropriate safeguards are applied for cross-border transfers.

Retention

Job files and outputs are kept for up to 30 days by default for redelivery and support, then deleted or anonymized. Billing records may be kept for up to 12 years for tax/accounting. You can request earlier deletion of job files and outputs.

Your rights

Where applicable (e.g., GDPR/UK GDPR/CCPA), you may request access, correction, deletion, portability and to object/restrict certain processing. Email [email protected]. We verify requests before acting.

Security

We use TLS in transit, access controls and hardened infrastructure. No online system is 100% secure.

Children

The service is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; the new date will appear above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
